Special Child U.S.A. is an affiliate of The Jeffrey Foundation, a California non-profit corporation, which was founded in 1972 to serve special needs and at-risk children and their families with recreational, educational and therapeutic programs and services.
The Jeffrey Foundation operates a model center in Los Angeles and currently have non-profit status in the state of Illinois (a California non-profit corporation, operating in Illinois). Special Child USA’s primary purpose is to replicate The Jeffrey Foundation’s successful 47-year-old programs throughout the United States.
The goal of Special Child USA is to create a better quality of life for disabled, at-risk, and special needs youngsters and their families.
Beginning with the establishment of chapters in major cities of the 50 states of the USA, the master plan is to make childcare, recreation, therapeutic and counseling services readily available in each community to all disabled, at-risk citizens and their families.
A telephone hotline has been set up to deal with all calls for information, referrals, and services available to the entire United States.
